Invisalign Braces

Invisalign braces are an orthodontic treatment method that straightens teeth without using traditional braces. This process enables us to correct teeth that are unevenly spaced, misaligned, misshaped, or protruding. Invisalign uses the same principle as traditional metal and bracket braces; however, it is a series of clear custom-fabricated aligners designed to gradually and sequentially move teeth into their desired positions. The key difference is that Invisalign braces are practically invisible and do not interfere with your smile.

Fewer Office Visits

While you’ll still have regular checkups to ensure your teeth straightening is on track, many patients require fewer adjustments than traditional braces.

Virtually Invisible

Instead of bulky metal braces, clear aligners let you smile without feeling self-conscious. Clear aligners are easy to remove for important events or photos.

Comfortable Design

Aligners are made from digital scans of your mouth, tailored to your unique smile goals. Plus, without metal brackets, you avoid potential irritation to your gum tissue.

Advantages of Invisalign Arizona

One advantage of Invisalign is its cosmetic appeal: the aligners are nearly invisible and difficult to detect. Therefore, it has become particularly popular among adults who want to straighten their teeth without the unflattering look of traditional metal braces, which children and adolescents commonly wear. Another advantage of aligners over traditional braces is that you can easily remove the aligners when eating and brushing your teeth. In addition, the treatment typically requires fewer dental visits.

Arizona Invisalign Braces Procedure

The dentist begins by taking dental impressions, X-rays, and photographs of the patient’s teeth, and then sends them to Align Technology. The impressions are put through a CT scan from which a computer creates a three-dimensional model. Technicians then individualize the teeth in the computer model and position them in their final location as prescribed by the orthodontist. Custom software then simulates the movement of the teeth in stages. The dentist reviews the simulation online using Align Technology’s ClinCheck via a web browser and approves the treatment. Once approved, a plastic resin aligner is manufactured for each stage of the computer simulation and shipped to the orthodontist.

Custom-fitted to your teeth, Invisalign braces are made of medical-grade clear plastic. Your teeth will begin to move from their original position to a normal straight position, little by little. The average treatment time is less than a year, again depending on the complexity of the treatment. Simple treatments, such as minor crowding and spacing, may be as short as six months.
